about

"Reptile Lover" is a fizzing, pop/punk collaboration between the band and local artist and poet Jeffrey Holgate who provided the lyrics and cover art. The song was recorded at legendary producer Jim Scott's Plyrz studios by fellow Kiwi Neil Baldock.

lyrics

You see her on the streets
In snake skin boots
wearing crocodile gloves
you know she'll never lose

Her iguana vest
match the alligator pants
It doesn't leave much room
She doesn't move fast
Reptile Lover sheds another skin
She'll spit you right out and do it all again

Her hours are unique
Spent in dark rooms
The company she keeps
Come to be in her lagoon

The money that she makes go to a designer
A lizard purse
with a python liner
Reptile Lover she's a sick sick girl
nothings going to stop her
she's unwell

Reptile Lover caught me unaware
Gets some strange looks
but she don't care
Reptile Lover so soft and smooth
Reptile Lover caught me unaware
gets some strange looks
but she don't care
Reptile Lover so soft and smooth
Oooooh Oooooh Ooooh Oooooh
